Chutney recipes: Chutney is basically spicy or sweet ,aromatic Indian dip that is served as a accompaniment with Indian snacks and appetizers.
Quick and easy chutneys like coriander chutney, coconut chutney, sweet and sour chutney. I use this chutney on parathas as a spread or on bread to make sandwiches. When served with any appetizer or snack it enhances the flavor of the dish multifold. Depending upon the type of food there are different types of chutney. With snacks like samosa, kachoris, and other deep fried snacks I prefer to serve coriander chutney along with sweet and sour chutney. With chaats like aloo tikki or dahi vada I use sweet and sour chutney. With omelets, I serve tomato and coriander chutney and so on.
You can of course mix and match food with any chutney based on your preferences. Chutney, a common name for Indian dip, is popular in many forms and served in many ways in different parts of India. Coriander chutney, coconut chutney, garlic chutney, mint (pudina) chutney, sweet and sour chutney are few of the most popular ones. Red, green, brown, white, they come in many colors and many flavors to spice up regular daily meal.
Enjoy these chutney with your everyday meal and I promise you these chutneys will increase the taste. Chutney is also good for digestion as usually it is made with fresh herbs and spices. They give nice kick and flavors to food. Chutney can be more or less spicy according to your taste buds and are usually eaten in small quantities.
