Rava Vada – Sooji Vada | Instant vada Recipe | रवा वडा रेसिपी विडियो इन हिंदी

Rava vada or suji vada recipe with a quick recipe video. This instant rava vada is easy, delicious and can be made in minutes. Do try it and I am sure you will love it.

Vada also known as  wada, vade, vadai and bara is famous savory fried snack. It is often made with lentils, potato, sago and today’s recipe is made with rava or sooji. It is served as breakfast or snack with spicy coconut chutney.

This rava vada or sooji vada is very instant. It does not require any soaking or grinding. Just mix all the ingredients and fry them. Crisp and golden brown from outside, soft and melt in mouth from inside. These rava vada are super yummy and worth trying at least once.

I have used grated coconut, fresh curry leaves and coriander leaves, freshly ground coarse mixture of cumin and black pepper in making suji vada or rava vada. These fresh ingredients give suji vada very nice flavors and aroma. You can also add fine chopped bell peppers, grated carrots along with fine chopped onions to give them different taste. Unlike medu vadas , rava vada is easy and quick to do. You can serve them with sambhar or spicy coconut chutney.

Here are few tips to make perfect rava vada or sooji vada:

1. Use fresh ingredients like fresh coriander curry leaves, freshly ground cumin an peppers. They make vadas very flavorful.
2. Make thick batter. Mix water as needed.
3. Do not make batter runny otherwise it will be difficult to shape vadas.
4. Add soda only when you are ready to fry vadas.
5. Fry them at medium flame so that they can be cooked all the way to inside.

Ingredients
  • For making chutney:
  • Peanuts: 2 tbsp,
  • Garlic clove: 1
  • Green chilly: 1-2
  • Grated coconut: ¼ cup
  • Coriander leaves: ½ cup
  • Hot water: 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For making Vadas:
  • Suji or Rava: 1 cup
  • Grated coconut: ¼ cup
  • Fine chopped coriander leaves: 2tbsp
  • Fine chopped curry leaves: 8-10
  • Fine chopped green chilli: 2
  • Fine chopped ginger: ½ "
  • Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
  • Black pepper corns:6 -7
  • Salt to taste
  • Curd or yogurt: ½ cup
  • Fine chopped onions: ½ cup
  • baking soda: ¼ tsp
Instructions
  1. ----For making chutney:
  2. In a mixie jar, put together all the chutney ingredients.
  3. Grind them o paste.
  4. ----For making Rava Vada:
  5. Grind cumin and pepper corns to coarse powder.
  6. In a mixing bowl take suji, add cumin and pepper powder, curd, coriander and curry leaves, ginger, chilli,salt.
  7. Mix them well. Cover and keep them aside for fifteen minutes.
  8. After fifteen minutes mix baking soda to suji bateer.
  9. Give them vada shape.
  10. Deep fry them at medium hot oil till they become golden brown and crisp.
  11. Rava vada is ready to serve.
