Bhapa Doi Recipe | Curd dessert | Bengali Sweets | Bengali Bhapa Doi Recipe

Bhapa doi or yogurt pudding is a famous Bengali sweet made with curd, condensed milk and saffron strings. Bhapa Doi is an aged sweet dahi originating from Bogra District in Bangladesh and a famous treat all through the country.

Bhapa Doi is set up by mixing thickened curd with condensed milk and saffron and then steaming it. Mud pots are preferred for making Bhapa dahi as mud pots absorb the water from the yoghurt.

At times bhapa doi can also be  prepared with a touch of cardamom for scent. I love making this recipe as it is sweet yet light dessert and perfect to conclude a heavy dinner. So, without wasting any more time let’s take a sweet and tangy dive into the recipe.
