Makki ka Paratha | Makkai Paratha & Chutney Recipe | Makke Aloo ke Parathe | Makki Paratha is a very popular north Indian dish. This healthy and tasty paratha is an ideal choice for an amazing and quick breakfast.

In Indian cuisine Parathas are integral part of daily menu. There are different varieties of parathas popular in different regions. Also now a days even many experimental verities are available on the streets and restaurants. Aloo paratha, mooli ka paratha, onion paratha, lachha paratha, pizza paratha, egg paratha, methi paratha, cheese paratha, muglai paratha and the list just goes on.

Today I am making these yummy makki parathas in a little different way, where I used potato to get the required binding and extra kick in the taste. I have also posted similar other recipes like Palak Paneer Paratha, Rajasthani Korma Roti, Bread Paratha and many more.

I have served this recipe with Onion chutney. You can also serve these paratha with Garlic ChutneyLehsun Mirchi Kachumber ChutneyLauki Chilka Chutney or any other side dish of your choice.

Ingredients
  

Makki Ka Paratha

  • 2 Potato finely grated
  • 1 cup Corn Flour
  • ¼ cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Ajwin
  • 1 tsp Ginger crushed
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves fine chopped
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilli Flakes
  • Salt according to taste
  • Water
  • Oil

Onion Chutney

  • 2 Onion roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • 7-8 Garlic Clove
  • 3 Dry Red Chillies

Instructions
 

Makki Ka Paratha

  • In a bowl add potato, corn flour, whole wheat flour, cumin seeds, ajwin, ginger, coriander leaves, coriander powder, chilli flakes, salt and mix well.
  • Add little water to make a semi-hard dough.
  • Grease hands with oil and grease dough with oil.
  • Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes
  • After 10 minutes, make a small dough ball and dust it with dry flour.
  • Roll gently and then take a round box and cut to make an even circle.
  • Heat a pan, put paratha on it and let it cook a bit.
  • Next flip, add some oil, flip and repeat the same.
  • Cook till crisp and serve it hot.

Onion Chutney

  • In a grinder add all the chutney ingredients and grind to make a coarse chutney.
