Take a large bowl add in rice, moong dal, urad dal, toor dal, chana dal and wash it with water properly.
Add water, red chilli, cumin seeds and curry leaves, let it soak for 7-8 hours or leave overnight
After soaking transfer them to a blender, add sliced ginger and grind it to make a coarse paste.
Transfer the paste into a bowl, add in asafoetida, salt and mix it well. (add in water to adjust the consistency)
In a pan heat some oil, pour batter and spread it with gentle hands.
Set flame on medium, sprinkle some sambar masala, chopped onion, coriander leaves, chopped green chilli and some red chilli powder.
Add some oil to make it crispy and let it cook.
Flip it and let it cook well from both the sides.
