Onion Pakoda

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Onion washed & peeled
  • Salt
  • Green Chilies fine chopped
  • 1 tsp Carom Seeds crushed by palms
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Seed crushed
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder/ Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cup Coriander Leaves fine chopped
  • Curry Leaves broken by hands
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

Instructions
 

  • Cut the onion into halves and then remove its buds.
  • Cut thin slices length wise as shown in video.
  • Transfer onion to a bowl and add salt, green chilies, carom seeds, red chilli powder, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste.
  • Mix everything well with hands cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes add 2 tbsp gram flour at a time and mix it thoroughly.
  • Keep adding gram flour till you reach the consistency as shown in the video make sure you do not add lot of water or gram flour to make the pakora crispy.
  • In a pan heat oil at high flame and drop pakora in oil.
  • Turn occasionally and cook well till crisp.
  • In the same pan fry slit green chilies and fry for 10-20 seconds.
  • Add little salt in chilies and mix well.
