Instructions
Stuffing
In a bowl mash potatoes and addginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, onion, coriander powder, onion, coriander powder.
Next add red chili powder, dry mango powder, salt and mix well.
Now grease palms with oil and make small balls from the stuffing and keep aside.
Dough
In a bowl add suji, curd, salt and mix well.
Now add little water and make a smooth dough.
Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Suji Balls
After 15 minutes knead the batter again and make it smooth again.
Wet hands with water, take small portions of dough and make small discs of it.
Place the stuffing in between and cover from all the sides and roll gently to flaten it out evenly.
In a pan add water and then put a steamer or a steel sieve on top of it.
Grease the top pan with oil and add balls on to it.
Now turn on the flame at medium high cover and let it steam for 10-12 minutes.
After 10-12 minutes check with the help of a tooth pick if it comes out clean means your suji balls are ready.
Tadka
In a pan add oil, curry leaves, black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, suji balls and chilli flakes.
Cook till suji balls are crisp and garnish with fine chopped coriander leaves.
