Stuffed Suji Balls

Ingredients
  

Stuffing

  • 2 Potato boiled & peeled
  • ½ Ginger fine chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli fine chopped
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves fine chopped
  • ½ cup Onion fine chopped
  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Dry Mango Powder/ Lemon Juice
  • Salt

Dough

  • ½ cup Curd
  • 1 cup Suji
  • Salt
  • Water

Tadka

  • 1 spoon Oil
  • Curry Leaves
  • ½ tsp Black Mustard Seeds
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Suji Balls
  • Chili Flakes
  • Coriander Leaves fine chopped

Instructions
 

Stuffing

  • In a bowl mash potatoes and addginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, onion, coriander powder, onion, coriander powder.
  • Next add red chili powder, dry mango powder, salt and mix well.
  • Now grease palms with oil and make small balls from the stuffing and keep aside.

Dough

  • In a bowl add suji, curd, salt and mix well.
  • Now add little water and make a smooth dough.
  • Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Suji Balls

  • After 15 minutes knead the batter again and make it smooth again.
  • Wet hands with water, take small portions of dough and make small discs of it.
  • Place the stuffing in between and cover from all the sides and roll gently to flaten it out evenly.
  • In a pan add water and then put a steamer or a steel sieve on top of it.
  • Grease the top pan with oil and add balls on to it.
  • Now turn on the flame at medium high cover and let it steam for 10-12 minutes.
  • After 10-12 minutes check with the help of a tooth pick if it comes out clean means your suji balls are ready.

Tadka

  • In a pan add oil, curry leaves, black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, suji balls and chilli flakes.
  • Cook till suji balls are crisp and garnish with fine chopped coriander leaves.
