Aloo Besan Sev Recipe

Ingredients
  

Potato

  • 300 gm Potato boiled & peeled

Dough

  • 1.5 cup Besan
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • ¼ tsp Black Salt
  • ½ tsp Chaat Masala
  • Asafoetida
  • Salt

Instructions
 

Potato

  • Wash and boil the potatoes.
  • Remove the excess water from it and peel the potatoes.
  • With the help of a grater grate all the potatoes into a bowl.

Dough

  • In the same mixing bowl add besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, black salt, chaat masala, asafoetida, salt and mix it well and make a smooth dough without using water.
  • Grease hands with oil and apply it gently on the dough.
  • Cover and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Aloo Besan Sev

  • Grease sev machine with some oil, now put some dough into the machine.
  • Heat oil on medium high heat and check by putting a little dough in it and if you see bubbles means it is ready.
  • Extrude sev in circular direction, once firm flip it and cook from the other side too.
  • Now remove it once cooked and let it cool down completely.
  • Once cold crush them and store it in an air tight container.

Shilpi’s Quick Tricks
Potato
  • Don’t mash the potatoes too much or else the dough won’t come fine.
Dough
  • Don’t use water to knead the dough.
  • If the dough is sticky then use a little more gram flour.
