In a bowl add daliya, water and mix well.
After daliya settles down seive out the water.
In a cooker add oil and let it heat a bit.
Next add onion to it and saute till pink.
Next add potato, carrot and mix well.
Now add turmeric powder and mix well.
Next add tomato, water mix and cook til tomatoes are mushy.
Next add daliya, peas, salt and mix well.
Now add water mix again, cover and let it take 5-6 whistles on medium flame.
After 5-6 whistles turn off the heat and let it cool down completely.
Next turn on the heat again, add water mix and let it boil again.
Now in another pan add ghee, asafoetida, cumin seeds, ginger, green chilli and saute a bit.
Next add mustard seeds mix well and turn off the heat.
Next add dry red chillies, curry leaves, red chilli powder and add to the khichdi.
